THE BACE METHOD
Our Story
Bace started with a simple idea: help people move better, feel stronger, and enjoy fitness that fits real life.
Why we're here
Bace was born from our own love of real, sustainable fitness that lasts beyond the gym and pilates studio. Movement should be purposeful, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.

The Bace method

MOVE BETTER, LIVE BETTER
Modern fitness got noisy. So we're resurfacing the movement archives — strength, mobility, and self-awareness. Our goal is simple: help you to feel better and move better. We treat fitness the way it should treat people: like humans.
Meet your coaches

Bodie Larden
Kettlebell Specialist
Growing up on the south coast of NSW, he developed a love for challenge early — from motocross and rugby league to martial arts under his father’s guidance, an Australian kickboxing champion. After four years as a Combat Engineer and Army diver, he embraced functional training, valuing effectiveness over aesthetics. Ultramarathons and bodybuilding followed, but a search for purposeful movement led him to kettlebells. Today, he focuses on full-body strength, mobility, and resilience, combining weightlifting, martial arts, and athletic conditioning. His goal is to move powerfully, feel capable, and make every day feel like training for life itself.

Nicole Mcpherson
Mat Pilates Specialist
Nicole discovered her love of movement through gymnastics and dance, disciplines that shaped her confidence, creativity, and resilience from a young age. After a professional dance career, she transitioned naturally into teaching Pilates and Yoga, practices she has been passionate about since her early teens. In 2020, during lockdown, she launched Move With Nicole on YouTube, offering accessible, feel-good Pilates classes to help people stay active at home. What began as a small way to give back has grown into a global community of over 5 million subscribers. Today, Nicole inspires others to move with joy, build strength, and feel empowered both on and off the mat.

Louise Edwards
Kettlebell Specialist
Louise began her journey in movement at age six through karate and gymnastics, later finding a love for football and boxing. With sport as a lifelong constant, she spent a decade coaching others to build strong, resilient bodies through a balanced mix of strength, mobility, and kettlebell training. Her philosophy is built on the understanding that every body moves differently, prioritising body awareness and longevity over quick fixes. Today, she is passionate about helping others work with their bodies, not against them — to move better and feel stronger for the long haul.

Gemma Steenson
Mat Pilates Specialist
With a background in exercise science, Gemma spent years teaching health and physical education in international schools and leading global fitness camps. Following an ankle and back injury, she evolved her approach to blend strength training with Pilates — shifting her focus toward long-term, sustainable movement. She combines traditional exercises with functional work to build alignment and control. Today, Gemma focuses on helping clients understand their own bodies, tailoring her coaching to build realistic habits and achieve lasting results both in and out of the studio.
